App Store (iPhone)よくある質問
Does Parlami work offline?
Yes. Every phrase, audio file, dish, lesson, gesture, tip and stamp is bundled inside the app, so it all works in airplane mode and on the train through the Apennines. The one exception is the price converter, which refreshes exchange rates when you have a connection — and when you don't, it uses the last rates it downloaded, or the table shipped with the app.
Which devices does Parlami run on?
Parlami runs on iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later. There is no iPad, Apple Watch or Android version yet — on an iPad it runs as an iPhone app.
Which languages does Parlami support?
Eleven languages — Spanish, English, German, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese — for the interface and all of the content: phrases, dishes, lessons, gestures and travel tips. The app follows your iPhone's language; to use a different one just for Parlami, open the iPhone Settings › Parlami › Language. The easy-reading pronunciation line is written for Spanish and English speakers; in the other languages the Italian is shown with its stressed syllable marked instead. The false-friends section exists for Spanish and English, the two languages where those traps are real.
音声が再生されません。何を確認すればよいですか?
Parlami plays through the normal media channel, even when the iPhone is set to silent — so check the media volume first (not just the ringer), and make sure no Bluetooth device is taking the audio. Also check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing media. Every phrase has a female and a male voice and a slow speed; if one specific phrase stays silent while the rest play, write to us with the phrase and we will fix it.
What does Parlami Pro include? Is it a subscription?
It is not a subscription — Parlami Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase, and it never renews. It unlocks the rest of the content: all 360 phrases across the 14 situations (including the ten with a changeable number), all 90 dishes, all 72 travel tips in the 12 guide sections, all 30 gestures, all 40 minimal pairs and the full false-friends lists. The base price is $9.99, with a welcome offer of $4.99 during the first 48 hours after you first open the app; your local price is set by the App Store. Family Sharing is enabled.
What stays free forever: the essentials and every emergency phrase in full, a sample of every other phrase category, the pronunciation lessons, a first set of dishes in every menu scene, the whole menu glossary, the first sections of the travel guide with all the emergency information, the stamp collection and the price converter — plus daily stamps that give you pieces of Pro content to keep, free, up to a ceiling.
Proを購入したのにコンテンツがロックされたままです
Open Settings › Restore purchases inside the app. Your purchase is tied to the Apple Account you bought it with, so after reinstalling or moving to a new iPhone a restore brings Pro back at no extra cost. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account, and write to us if it still does not come back.
Does my progress sync between iPhones?
If you are signed in to iCloud, your favourites, stamps, finished lessons, trip dates and checklist are kept in your own iCloud account and follow you to a new iPhone or a reinstall. Parlami never sees that copy. If you use Parlami without iCloud, everything stays on the device only.
Why are the phrases in the formal form?
On purpose. The phrases you say to a waiter, a ticket clerk or a stranger are written with Lei, the polite form, because that is what sounds right in Italy. Where the informal tu is natural — with people your age, at the beach, among friends — many phrases carry an informal variant you can switch to, with its own audio.
Are the prices and travel tips up to date?
The 72 tips cover what genuinely surprises first-time visitors — coperto, validating tickets, ZTL zones, strikes, riposo, Ferragosto, the Venice access fee, EES and ETIAS — and the 30 reference prices are typical ranges, not quotes. We review them with every release; if something has changed on the ground, tell us and we will update it.
