Experiments where we try new things.

Small projects we build to learn a technique or test an idea. Some grow into games and apps; the rest stay here for you to play with.

The PondEl Estanque

A small 3D pond where you float around as a rubber duck, together with whoever else is there. It has a day and night cycle, rain, storms and snow, and when the water freezes you can skate.

  • Multiplayer in real time: up to 50 ducks in the same pond
  • Eleven ducks to choose from, plus your own colour and name
  • Shared weather: when it snows, it snows for everyone
  • Plays on its own, offline, if the server is away
Jump in Its interface is in Spanish for now.

How The Pond is made

Everything runs in the browser, except one small server.

Rendering

Three.js with hand-written GLSL for the water, grass, foliage, weather and the day and night cycle. The look adapts techniques from Bruno Simon's 2025 portfolio.

Physics

Rapier runs in WebAssembly in your browser and makes every duck float, bob and rock on the same waves everyone else sees.

Multiplayer

An Elixir and Phoenix server runs the pond 20 times a second. Your own duck answers instantly and is checked against the server; the other ducks glide in smoothly.
