Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS app SweepSheep, published by Quantum Quacks (hereinafter, "we" or "our").

1. Data Controller

2. Summary: SweepSheep does not collect personal data

SweepSheep is a photo cleaning app that helps you organize and declutter your photo library by swiping through your photos. We do not collect, transmit, or store personal data on our own servers or on any third-party servers. There are no user accounts, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. All data the app stores resides exclusively on your device. SweepSheep is a one-time paid app: it contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

3. Photo Library Access

SweepSheep requires access to your photo library to function. The app uses this access to:

  • Display your photos so you can decide which ones to keep or delete.
  • Move photos you choose to discard to the "Recently Deleted" album in iOS (where they can be recovered for 30 days).

Your photos are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted outside your device. All operations are performed locally using Apple's PhotoKit framework.

4. On-Device Photo Analysis

To help you find duplicate and visually similar photos, SweepSheep analyses the images in your library using Apple's Vision framework. This analysis computes a numerical representation (a "feature vector", also known as an image embedding) for each photo, which the app then compares to group images that look alike.

This processing happens entirely on your device. No photo, thumbnail, or derived data is ever uploaded or sent to us or to anyone else, and no internet connection is used or required for it.

The resulting feature vectors are cached in the app's own local storage on your device so the analysis does not have to be repeated on every launch. They are never transmitted anywhere, and they are removed when you uninstall the app.

5. Data stored locally

SweepSheep stores the following information exclusively on your device:

  • Progress and streaks: your cleaning progress, streaks, and goals.
  • Preferences: app settings stored in UserDefaults.
  • Photo analysis data: the on-device feature vectors and similarity groups described in section 4, kept in app-local storage.

You can delete all this data by uninstalling the app.

6. Purchases: no in-app purchases, no subscriptions

SweepSheep is a one-time paid app. You buy it once on the App Store and every feature is included. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, and the app does not contain any paywall or "Pro" upgrade.

The purchase of the app itself is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). For details on how Apple processes your purchase data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. Internet Connection

SweepSheep works fully offline. The app does not connect to our servers or to any third-party servers, and it does not send personal data, user identifiers, or device information anywhere. Everything — browsing your library, the on-device similarity analysis, deletions, album moves, and your progress — happens locally on your device.

8. Third-Party Services

SweepSheep only uses Apple's own on-device frameworks (PhotoKit and Vision). We do not integrate:

  • Analytics tools (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.).
  • Advertising networks.
  • Tracking or attribution SDKs.
  • Third-party crash reporting services.

Apple may collect aggregated usage and diagnostic data through the operating system if you have enabled that option in your iOS settings. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

9. Children

SweepSheep is not specifically directed at children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no risk of processing children's data.

10. Your Rights

Since we do not process personal data on our own servers, there is no personal information of yours that we can provide, rectify, or delete. All data is on your device and can be removed at any time by uninstalling the app.

If you have any questions, you can reach us at contacto@quantumquacks.es. If you reside in the EU/EEA, you may file a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Spain, AEPD: https://www.aepd.es).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal or technical changes. We will publish the current version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date accordingly.
