Q: What does Háblame Pro include? Is it a subscription?

It is not a subscription . Háblame Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase, and it never renews. It is priced at $9.99, with a welcome price of $4.99 during the first 48 hours after you first see the Pro offer. Family Sharing is enabled. Pro unlocks the rest of the content forever: the remaining phrases (including the ten with a changeable number), dishes, false friends, gestures, minimal pairs and tips. What stays free forever: 152 phrases, including every essential and emergency phrase; 32 dishes; 8 gestures; 16 minimal pairs; 10 false friends per list; 5 tip categories; and the whole jamón, cheese and beer guides. Daily stamps also give you pieces of Pro content to keep, up to a ceiling.

Does Háblame work offline?

Yes. Every phrase, audio file, dish, glossary entry, guide, lesson, pair, road sign, false friend, gesture, tip, emergency card, checklist and stamp is bundled inside the app, so it all works in airplane mode and on the train. The one exception is the currency converter, which refreshes exchange rates when you have a connection. When you don't, it uses the last rates it downloaded, or the table shipped with the app.

Which languages does Háblame support?

The interface is in eleven languages: English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. There is no Spanish interface: the Spanish is the content you learn. If your iPhone is set to a language the app does not cover, you will see English. To use a different language just for Háblame, open the iPhone Settings › Háblame › Language. In English, the pronunciation line is a respelling written for the English ear, such as «ther-BEH-tha». In the other languages the Spanish is shown in syllables with the stressed one in capitals, such as «cer-VE-za».

O áudio não se ouve — o que posso verificar?

Háblame plays through the normal media channel, so the silent switch does not mute it. Check the media volume first (not just the ringer), make sure no Bluetooth device is taking the audio, and check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing media. Every phrase has a female and a male voice and a slow speed. If one specific phrase stays silent while the rest play, write to us with the phrase and we will fix it.

Does my progress sync between iPhones?

If you are signed in to iCloud, your favourites, stamps, finished lessons, trip dates and checklist are kept in your own iCloud account and follow you to a new iPhone or a reinstall. Háblame never sees that copy. Without iCloud, everything stays on the device.

Why tú, and where does usted come in?

Tú is the default, because that is what most travellers will hear and use with people their age. Where the polite form matters, such as the hotel, the police and the doctor, 44 phrases have a usted version with its own audio.

Can Háblame send me reminders?

Accepted Answer

Only if you switch them on. There are two separate reminders, each with its own switch: a daily stamp reminder at the time you choose, and an optional reminder before the welcome price ends. Both are local notifications created by your own iPhone, with no server involved. You can turn either off in the app or in iOS Settings.

Are the prices and travel tips up to date?

The 72 tips cover what genuinely surprises first-time visitors, and the 30 reference prices are typical ranges, not quotes. We review them with every release. If something has changed on the ground, tell us and we will update it.
