What is the same on both platforms

On both platforms, Kotomaji asks for no account and no sign-in, collects no personal data, shows no advertising and uses no advertising identifier. Your favorites, settings and Pro purchase status stay on your device. The only content request the app makes is the anonymous currency-rate lookup — phrases, audio, kanji and tips all work fully offline — and reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

What is different

The Android version includes Google Analytics for Firebase, which records anonymous, aggregated usage statistics so we can see which features people actually use. Those statistics are tied to a random app instance identifier rather than to you, and the app explicitly removes the Android advertising ID. The iOS version includes no analytics at all, which is why the two policies are kept separate rather than merged into one.
